New Space Antenna Innovation under test

Agile RF Systems in partnership with MMA Design completed proof of concept testing on a new ultra-wideband phased array antenna for space surveillance applications. The technology introduces new advances in high compaction ratio phased array antennas. The antenna size is scalable with this first system having a size of approximately 12×12 feet deployed. The system under test was shrouded in tarps to prevent wind loading on the antenna built using space flight materials and structure. This new technology is paving the way to enabling large constellations of systems for persistent surveillance missions.

The outdoor antenna testing was conducted at the Army Electronic Proving Grounds (EPG) arch test facility located in Sierra Vista, AZ.
